The Owners

Paul and Kelly Marks met in 1990 when Kelly began tutoring verbal SAT for Paul’s mother. In 1992, they opened a satellite SAT program in Harrisburg, NC with just three students. Within a year, enrollment grew to over 120, fueled by their unique teaching style.

They married in 1993 and have taught the SAT together ever since...seeing each other 24/7! In 2002, they took over the business when Paul’s mother, Arleen, retired.

Now celebrating 33 years of running Briarcliff Hall, they are preparing their daughter, Madison, to continue the family tradition. Constant changes to the SAT and technology keep their work fun and fresh.
